Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!

Sailing is a fantastic sport, with the opportunity to have thrilling physical experiences on the water.   We have beautiful natural environments, and sailors have the opportunity to just have a blast in direct connection to this environment and without the need for any screen time.

On top of all that, sailing lends itself incredibly well to learning about some fundamental concepts in the STEM domains.  Our instructors will pull from the US Sailing Reach curriculum to integrate fun activities that connect to what the students do on the water.

Dyes Inlet is a spectacular venue to take advantage of this curriculum.  The salt water environment with extreme low tides will provide opportunities for learning on the beach as well as in the boats.   We can range across the Inlet without worries about things like strong currents, commercial traffic, or dangerous obstructions.  Dyes Inlet is shallow which means it warms up early in the season and is quite refreshing on hot summer days.
