Although most of our programs have fees associated with the, these fees seldom cover more than insurance, maintenance and instructor salaries (summer instructors are paid). Without the kindness of our volunteers and generosity of our community, sailing simply would not be easily accessible on the Silverdale waterfront.

Each year we have two fundraising campaign’s to keep our program healthy and moving forward:
- The annual Capital Campaign targets funding for replacing aging boats, expanding our fleet and other associated capital costs such as sails, covers and dollies. Please note that all of our capital purchases are donated to our partner host, the Port of Silverdale. We use, maintain and upgrade the equipment but KSF is not the long term owner of sailing equipment.
- The annual Giving Campaign targets funding for safety equipment and scholarships. We do not turn down sailors from joining us on the water if they are in financial need. We also recognize that some of the important equipment to make the sport of sailing safe and fun can be expensive and we endeavor to provide life vests, helmets, wetsuits and other important gear to those that are in need.
