From simply enhancing the view for Silverdale restaurants, homes, and parks to providing the experiences and skills for participants - our sailing programs enhance the Central Kitsap Community.
The sport of sailing is often misunderstood to be only available to privileged elites. In fact, our participants come from all backgrounds and we provide scholarships to many kids in need.
However, there is no denying that the equipment is expensive to buy and maintain. For example, a new set of sails costs around $1,000. Because the boats must be evenly matched, sails must be purchased for all the boats simultaneously. Our current sails are 6 years old, and they are rags.
Please help us provide these valuable programs to our community.
